The future
Do you ever wonder exactly what the world will be like for your children’s generation? And then in turn for their children…this planet is in a state of change and is quickly evolving towards some major shifts; will we use the same technology in the future?
Or will we begin to go back to the old ways…? A sustainable life is the way forward, and if our present system fails us, (as it appears to be doing already) it is worth thinking about how we could sustain ourselves independently; especially in our children’s lifetime…it is our belief that horses will be an important resource in the future, imagine a world without fossil fuel; there may be alternative transport, but what about the good old fashioned horse and cart? With a Bow Top caravan or similar you can even travel with your home over long distances. What if (or when) the planet floods, and coupled with no fossil fuels…horses would then be an invaluable asset to our lives. This is food for thought…it is worth thinking ahead in these unstable times, to ways in which we may help ourselves or our children or their children to have a happy and easier life in the future.![]()
Our personal vision for Rock Valley Farm is one of keeping this space natural, peaceful and special; as a retreat for families, friends, couples and groups. And a memorable place for ceremonies of all kinds. Next year we hope to have workshops and retreats on the land, and for the future, we may host art, craft and healing events. We would like to become more ‘green’ and energy efficient, and in time convert more of the farm to sustainable energies like water and wind power. We are planning to hold survival style weekends next year, with an emphasis on bender camp building, basic survival skills, arrow head making and more...if this sparks your interesr please contact us to register on our list for upcoming plans.
